Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Tuesday presented his government’s vision under the “Viksit Rajasthan @ 2047” roadmap, outlining priorities for inclusive growth and improved governance. Addressing a gathering in Jaipur, Sharma emphasised that the current state budget makes provisions for all 200 assembly constituencies “without any discrimination.”
“Our government believes in Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. While the previous Congress government worked on commissions, we are working for development,” Sharma said. He criticised the former administration for alleged corruption and paper leak scandals, stating that such incidents had “crushed the dreams of the youth.” He contrasted this with his government’s record, asserting that “not a single paper was leaked in the past one and a half years.”
The Chief Minister highlighted welfare initiatives such as the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Garibi Mukt Gaon Yojana, under which the government aims to make poor families BPL-free in over 10,000 villages.
Sharma also targeted the previous government’s handling of the power sector, describing it as “a victim of mismanagement.” He claimed that under his leadership, electricity distribution companies (Discoms) were moving towards profit, and said that “unprecedented work is being done in the field of electricity and water.”
