Congress MP Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has alleged that large-scale vote theft is undermining India’s democratic framework and threatening the Constitution. Speaking on parliamentary proceedings, he claimed that Opposition members are frequently prevented from speaking during Zero Hour, while ruling party members are given more time to present their views.
Warring argued that the suppression of debate in Parliament, combined with alleged electoral malpractice, risks eroding the very foundation of democratic governance. He said his party had harboured suspicions about such practices for the past five to seven years, and asserted that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had highlighted these concerns at a global level.
According to Warring, the alleged vote theft not only influenced the formation of the previous Central government but also played a role in determining the outcome in several states. He further claimed that similar irregularities were being attempted in Bihar, which he said the Opposition had identified in advance.
