New Delhi: Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, in a sharp critique of the ruling BJP, demanded the immediate arrest of businessman Gautam Adani, alleging his deep involvement in corruption and claiming Adani has a firm grip over India’s economic and political systems.

Responding to a query about reviewing Adani projects in Opposition-ruled states, Gandhi stated, “Wherever there is corruption, investigation should be done. But investigation will begin with Adani. Unless he is arrested, it won't be credible. So, begin it from there. Arrest Adani, interrogate him, and then nab whoever is involved."

Gandhi did not stop at Adani, suggesting the trail would lead directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He alleged that "Narendra Modi's name will come out because BJP's entire funding structure is in his hands. Even if the PM wants, he can't do anything. In a way, Adani has hijacked the country. India is in Adani's grip."

The remarks are likely to spark further political discourse as Gandhi continues his campaign targeting alleged favoritism and corruption linked to the BJP government. This intensifies the ongoing debate around corporate influence in Indian politics and governance.
