Sitamarhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Thursday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have been engaging in electoral malpractice, claiming that their victories were achieved through “vote chori” (vote theft).

Addressing a public gathering in Sitamarhi as part of his ongoing yatra, Gandhi said children were echoing the slogan “Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod” in reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Children are coming to me saying that PM Narendra Modi does ‘vote chori’. We gave proof of ‘vote chori’ by the BJP in Karnataka. In the coming times, we will give proof of Haryana, the Lok Sabha and other states,” he stated.

He emphasized that his party would continue to bring evidence to support these allegations, adding that the issue of electoral integrity was central to safeguarding democracy. Gandhi said he was grateful for the enthusiastic support in Bihar, remarking that he found the political awareness among the people of the state to be exceptional.

“There is no comparison to the understanding of politics by the Biharis. I got to learn a lot of things from you all,” he told the crowd, noting that he had not experienced the same response elsewhere.
