Kartikeya Sharma, the Superintendent of Police in Purnea, provided updates on the case, confirming that “Purnea MP Pappu Yadav was receiving death threats over WhatsApp and other mediums. As per the information received, we launched an investigation.” The inquiry quickly focused on a suspect identified as Mukesh Pandey, a resident of Delhi.
