Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday called on the Central government to initiate dialogue with the protesting farmers, emphasizing the need for a resolution to their grievances. The appeal comes amid ongoing protests led by farmers' organizations, with prominent leader Dallewal at the forefront.
Addressing the media, Mann stated, “I say to the Central government that it should open channels for talks with farmers. Dialogue is the only way to address their concerns and arrive at a solution that works for all.”
The Chief Minister highlighted the state's proactive measures to ensure the well-being of farmers at the protest site. “We have deputed doctors there (at the farmers' protest site). We are committed to ensuring his (Dallewal’s) health is not compromised,” he added, signaling the government's attention to the health of protestors during the ongoing demonstrations.
