Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday dismissed the BJP’s allegations over his official residence, described by the opposition as a “sheeshmahal,” calling the claims politically motivated and part of a larger attempt to distract from real issues.
Speaking to reporters in Chandigarh, Mann said, “BJP has no agenda regarding Punjab. So, they are resorting to this. Big rallies took place in Gujarat, so they want to do something in Punjab. They promote doctored videos of me and ask why Kejriwal lives here.”
Taking a sharp jibe at his political rivals, the Chief Minister said, “BJP, if you want to see ‘sheeshmahal,’ I will give you the address. Look at the ‘sheeshmahal’ of Capt Amarinder Singh in Siswan. Look at the luxury of Sukhbir Singh Badal — that is ‘sheeshmahal’.”
