Ambala, Haryana: Addressing a large public rally in Ambala, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra voiced strong criticism against the government's handling of the recent wrestler protests, questioning why Prime Minister Narendra Modi failed to meet the athletes.

"What was done to our wrestlers? They were made to sit on the road; they kept protesting," Priyanka Gandhi said. The wrestlers, some of whom are national champions, staged a prolonged protest against alleged harassment and the lack of government action. "The Prime Minister did not have even five minutes to meet them," she added, expressing frustration at the government's indifference.

Referring to the recent Olympics, she said, "And then you all saw what happened in the Olympics recently," alluding to India's growing sports prowess while simultaneously critiquing the government's treatment of its athletes.

In a passionate appeal to the people, Priyanka Gandhi emphasized the daily struggles faced by ordinary citizens due to rising inflation and a lack of support from the current administration. "You are the people who fight, you have self-respect. You are fighting against inflation, you are struggling. The government is not doing anything for you," she said.

She concluded her speech by urging people to act for justice and dignity. "If you want to live with self-respect today, if you want justice, then throw out this government," she said, calling for a change in leadership.
