Priyanka Gandhi Hits Back at ‘Dynasty Politics’ Charge, Cites ‘Sacrifices Made by Our Ancestors’

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday responded strongly to the BJP-led NDA’s repeated allegations of “dynasty politics,” saying those who raise such accusations can never understand the sacrifices made by generations of Congress leaders for the nation.

Speaking at a public event, Priyanka Gandhi said the Congress’s legacy was rooted in service and sacrifice, not personal ambition. “Those who keep shouting about dynasty politics can never understand the sacrifices made by our ancestors,” she said, in a veiled reference to her family’s contribution to India’s political history.

She emphasized that the Congress party has produced leaders who have dedicated their lives to the country’s progress and unity. “Our leaders faced imprisonment, gave up comfort, and even laid down their lives for India. This is not about family privilege; it’s about carrying forward a tradition of sacrifice and responsibility,” she added.
