Brussels, Belgium: In a firm stance on counterterrorism, Shiv Sena (UBT) Member of Parliament Priyanka Chaturvedi called for a unified global response to terror funding and demanded greater accountability from nations allegedly enabling terrorism through financial channels—particularly Pakistan.

Speaking at an international platform in Brussels, Chaturvedi asserted that India has been unwavering in advocating a zero tolerance policy towards terrorism, and urged the global community to act decisively. “Unless we adopt a zero tolerance policy towards terrorism, the whole country will remain insecure,” she said.

Chaturvedi emphasized the importance of global cooperation in identifying and cutting off funding channels that support terrorist networks. “We believe there should be accountability and the money that is reaching Pakistan—if it is being used for terrorism—it should be exposed,” she stated, adding that India has consistently raised this issue in diplomatic and multilateral forums.

Her comments come amid ongoing global efforts to monitor terror financing through organizations like the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), which has previously placed Pakistan on its grey list due to insufficient action against terror financing.

Chaturvedi noted that her interactions in Brussels were productive, stating, “We have spread the message of zero tolerance towards terrorism and they have been very positive.”
