New Delhi | On the eve of Republic Day, President Droupadi Murmu addressed the nation, paying tribute to the architects of India's Constitution and reflecting on its vital role in shaping the country’s progress over the last 75 years.

"In the last 75 years, the Constitution has paved the way for our progress," President Murmu stated, acknowledging the pivotal contributions of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the chairman of the drafting committee, and other members. "Today, we express our gratitude towards Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and the other members whose efforts have given us the Constitution."

Highlighting the transformative journey of the nation since the adoption of the Constitution on January 26, 1950, she said, "These 75 years after the implementation of the Constitution are the companions of the all-round progress of our young republic."
