Prashant Kishor

Muzaffarpur, Bihar: Political strategist-turned-activist and Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor on Friday launched a scathing attack on the NDA’s joint poll manifesto for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, saying repeated promises over the past two decades have failed to change the ground reality in the state.
“Those in power have been given numerous opportunities by the people of Bihar over the past 15–20 years. What they write in their manifestos and resolutions doesn’t really matter anymore, because the public can see that they say the same things every time,” Kishor said while addressing a gathering in Muzaffarpur.
He added that despite years of pledges and promises, Bihar continues to lag behind the rest of the country. “Even after all these resolutions, pledges, and manifestos, Bihar remains the country’s poorest and most backward state,” he remarked.
Taking aim at both national parties, Kishor said leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi are focused on personal political battles rather than Bihar’s development. “Rahul Gandhi and Modi are fighting their own battles, blaming each other. Neither of them is talking about Bihar,” he said.
Calling for change, Kishor urged voters to break free from traditional political choices. “It’s not Rahul Gandhi or Modi’s fault — it’s ours if we keep voting for them. People used to say they had no choice, but now there is an alternative. You don’t need to vote for Lalu, Nitish, or the BJP out of fear. You have the option of Jan Suraaj,” he asserted.
