Patna, Bihar: Jan Suraaj chief Prashant Kishor has joined the ongoing protest by students demanding reforms in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination process. Kishor has also declared an indefinite hunger strike, accusing the Bihar government of suppressing the students’ voices and refusing to address their grievances.

Speaking at the protest site, Kishor said, “This is against the egoistic government of Bihar, whose leader, CM Nitish Kumar, did not consider meeting the students even when they agreed to withdraw the movement if the CM declared that the exams can’t be held. Instead, the students were beaten up by the authorities.”

The students have been protesting alleged irregularities and delays in the BPSC exams, citing a lack of transparency and timely scheduling. They have demanded a public statement from the Chief Minister regarding the feasibility of holding the exams as planned.

Kishor criticized Nitish Kumar for his silence on the issue, emphasizing the need for accountability and dialogue with the aggrieved students. “There is only one way for people like us to stand with the students. Hence, I am doing an indefinite hunger strike,” Kishor added.
