Delhi: BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari has sharply criticized National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah, asserting that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are no longer aligned with his views. Speaking in Delhi, Bhandari praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to drive development in J&K and dismissed Abdullah’s claims about Article 370.
“Farooq Abdullah should accept that the people of J&K are not with him,” Bhandari stated. He highlighted the significant strides made in Jammu and Kashmir over the past decade under Modi’s leadership, noting that the region has experienced a historic influx of tourists and the announcement of development programs worth over Rs 30,000 crores.
Bhandari emphasized that the reinstatement of Article 370, which granted special autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir, is not a viable option. “Farooq Abdullah and his coming generations will never be able to bring back Article 370,” he asserted. Bhandari expressed confidence that the BJP will form the next government in J&K and emphasized the party’s focus on development.
“On one side, PM Modi is talking about development and making J&K an investment capital. On the other side, Farooq Abdullah is standing with terrorists and stone pelters,” Bhandari claimed. He underscored the BJP’s commitment to choosing development over divisive politics, positioning the party’s vision as key to J&K’s future progress.
