Bhabua, Bihar | Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched a sharp attack on what he termed the era of “jungle raj” in Bihar, blaming it for the collapse of law and order and the state’s stalled development. He praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for steering Bihar out of that troubled phase and restoring governance and progress.

Addressing a public rally in Bhabua, Modi said, “After the hard work of the people, an industrial city was being formed, but again the politics of bad governance and jungle raj came. By the time jungle raj destroyed everything. Jungle raj had killed every possibility of development in Bihar.”

The Prime Minister questioned how any state could progress without stability and safety. “Can tourism ever grow in a place where there is no rule of law and Maoist terror is on the rise?” he asked.

Modi credited Nitish Kumar for leading Bihar out of that “dire situation,” saying his administration helped revive confidence and development in the state. The Prime Minister’s remarks come amid renewed political activity in Bihar, as he urged people to continue supporting efforts that prioritize law, order, and prosperity over divisive politics.
