PM Modi Pays Tribute to Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar on Guru Pooja

New Delhi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid glowing tributes to revered freedom fighter and social reformer Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar on the occasion of his Guru Pooja, describing him as a “towering figure” whose ideals continue to guide and inspire generations.

In a post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister wrote, “On the auspicious occasion of his Guru Pooja, paying heartfelt homage to the revered Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar Ji, a towering figure with a deep impact on India’s social and political life. His unwavering commitment to justice, equality and the welfare of the poor and farmers continues to inspire generations.”

He further added that Thevar “stood for dignity, unity and self-respect, blending deep spirituality with an unshakeable resolve to serve society.”
