Delhi: BJP MP Jagdambika Pal has lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent speech, framing it as both a comprehensive report on the government's achievements and a roadmap for India's future. Pal emphasized the government's commitment to development over what he described as the "politics of appeasement" practiced by previous administrations now sitting in the Opposition.
“We do not do politics of appeasement, something which was done by governments so far who are now in the Opposition,” Pal stated. “We do santushtikaran—we provide houses, toilets, and tap water to everyone,” he added, pointing to the government’s flagship welfare schemes under initiatives like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and Jal Jeevan Mission.
Pal highlighted the Prime Minister’s long-term vision, focusing on the year 2047, when India will celebrate 100 years of independence. “He said that we are preparing a foundation for 2047, which is 25 years away. In these 25 years, we want to make our country Viksit Bharat (Developed India),” Pal remarked. The vision includes infrastructure growth, economic expansion, and societal development aimed at transforming India into a global powerhouse.
Addressing the issue of political dynasties, Pal echoed the Prime Minister’s stance that nations thrive not on familial legacies but on dedicated service to nation-building. “Countries do not build on dynasty; one needs to dedicate themselves towards nation-building,” he said, indirectly targeting opposition parties often criticized for dynastic politics.
