Kurukshetra, Haryana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday invoked the legacy of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji while delivering a strong message on national security at the 350th Shaheedi Diwas commemoration. Addressing a gathering of devotees and dignitaries, he said India has always advocated peace and brotherhood globally, yet remains unwavering when it comes to safeguarding its own borders.

“We talk to the world about brotherhood and also protect our own borders. We want peace, but we don't compromise on our own security,” the Prime Minister said, underlining India’s dual commitment to harmony and firmness.

Referring to Operation Sindoor, he described it as a defining example of India’s evolving security doctrine. “Operation Sindoor is the most glaring example of this. The entire world has seen that the new India neither fears nor cowers, nor bows down to terrorism,” he stated, adding that the nation is advancing with “courage and clarity, with full force.”
