Pune, Maharashtra | Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives in a tragic road accident on the Jejuri-Morgaon road in Pune district, Maharashtra. In a message posted by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on its official X handle, PM Modi conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

“Deeply saddened by the loss of lives due to a road accident on the Jejuri-Morgaon road in Pune, Maharashtra. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon,” the PMO’s post read.

The Prime Minister also announced financial assistance under the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF):

  • ₹2 lakh will be provided to the next of kin of each deceased, and

  • ₹50,000 will be given to those injured in the accident.
