Brescia, Italy: At the India-Italy Strategic Economic Partnership meeting held in Brescia, Union Minister Piyush Goyal emphasized the shared history and promising future between the two nations, underlining their joint commitment to advancing prosperity and global well-being.
Speaking about the recently formulated joint strategic action plan, Goyal described it as “very forward-looking, ambitious with a strong focus on trade, innovation, talent mobility.” He noted that the plan aligns with shared visions set by the leaders of both countries, aiming to significantly boost bilateral economic cooperation by 2029.
“We are two nations, who have shared a glorious past but are committed to greater prosperity and for the greater global good,” said Goyal. The action plan covers key sectors including technology, manufacturing, research and development, and people-to-people exchanges, reflecting a broad-based approach to deepen collaboration.
The partnership is expected to enhance trade volumes, foster innovation ecosystems, and facilitate greater movement of skilled professionals between India and Italy. Both governments have set ambitious targets to realize these goals within the next decade.
