Nowgam, Srinagar: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Iltija Mufti has voiced her strong stance on the future of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in light of ongoing discussions surrounding statehood. Speaking to the media, she stated, "Ask this to the Government that will come here. But I have always said that there is great strength in our voice."
Mufti clarified that her party's primary focus is not on the restoration of statehood but rather on advocating for Article 370 and resolving the broader issues affecting the region. She declared, "We are not among those parties that shift their goalpost. We will fight for the restoration and resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir issue."
Her remarks come amidst growing conversations about the political future of J&K, where many political leaders are expressing their hopes for the reestablishment of statehood following a prolonged period of uncertainty and governance changes. Mufti's comments underline her party's commitment to maintaining a consistent agenda and addressing the historical and constitutional concerns of the people of J&K.
