New Delhi: Congress leader Pawan Khera launched a scathing criticism against the ruling government on Monday, accusing it of hiding behind symbolic gestures while continuing systemic injustices against tribal communities, Dalits, and minorities.

Reacting to ongoing debates on tribal rights and representation, Khera backed Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's recent remarks, asserting that representation alone cannot compensate for injustice. “What Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has said is right—you cannot continue to exploit tribals. Whenever we question, you start showing that look—that the President of India is a tribal. You cannot hide the misdoings against the tribals by just showing the President of India,” Khera said at a press briefing.

He further added, “This is the mentality you have when you deal with tribals, Dalits, and minorities.”
