Delhi: Congress leader Pawan Khera took a sharp jab at the BJP during a recent interaction, pointing out the party’s inability to secure power in Delhi over the last 27 years. Khera contrasted this with Congress’s own 15-year tenure under the leadership of Sheila Dikshit, which he described as an era of unprecedented development for the capital.

“The people of Delhi have not given BJP a chance to form the government in the last 27 years—there must be some reason behind it,” Khera remarked, underscoring the public’s consistent rejection of the BJP’s governance model.

He further broke down the city’s political timeline, noting, “BJP was in power for 5 years, then Congress for 15 years, and now AAP is there for 10 years. The people are now looking towards Congress.”

Khera also criticized the BJP’s election strategies, including their promises, which he termed 'Jumla Patra' (a jibe at their manifestos). “No matter how many 'Jumla Patra' they bring, people have already made up their minds,” he asserted, expressing confidence in Congress’s ability to stage a comeback in the upcoming Delhi Elections 2025.
