Congress leader Pawan Khera sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly masking India's poverty and backwardness during visits from foreign dignitaries. Khera likened this to events in Haryana, where, ahead of elections, leadership changes are made to cover up failures.
"When foreign leaders visit India, PM Modi covers the country's poverty with a 'white sheet.' Now, ahead of Haryana elections, the same cover-up tactic is being used," Khera said, referring to the recent change in Haryana's leadership. He further pointed out that the failures of the government are being experienced by everyone, regardless of such efforts.
