Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma has strongly rebutted allegations made by Delhi Assembly Leader of Opposition Atishi regarding frequent power cuts in the city. Responding to her criticism, Verma dismissed the claims as unfounded and politically motivated.

“Atishi's allegations are baseless. We haven't seen any such power cuts,” Verma said. “Maybe somewhere, power must have gone for half an hour,” he added, suggesting that any outages were minor and localized rather than systemic.

Verma further addressed civic concerns in Atishi’s own constituency, highlighting ongoing efforts by the administration to address annual monsoon-related issues. “We are working in Atish's constituency and this time we won't let waterlogging happen in her area also,” he stated confidently.

With the monsoon season approaching, Verma assured citizens that preventive measures are being implemented across the city. “We are also waiting for monsoon...we have full confidence that there won't be much waterlogging this time,” he said, expressing optimism about the effectiveness of this year’s preparations.
