New Delhi: Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma has launched a scathing attack on former Deputy Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia, following fresh summons issued to him by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with alleged irregularities in classroom construction projects.
Addressing the media in the capital, Verma accused Sisodia of large-scale corruption under the guise of educational reform. “Manish Sisodia committed theft. He committed a huge scam in the name of education,” Verma said, adding, “The truth will soon be out. We will see how many cases Manish Sisodia goes to jail for.”
The ACB is currently investigating claims of inflated costs and procedural violations in the construction of classrooms under the Delhi government’s ambitious school infrastructure program initiated during Sisodia’s tenure. The allegations have resurfaced amid broader scrutiny of the AAP’s governance model and claims of financial impropriety.
