Patna: The ongoing protests over the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exams took a new turn as Independent MP Pappu Yadav met Bihar Chief Secretary Amritlal Meena, calling for an immediate probe into the allegations surrounding the exam process.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Pappu Yadav expressed concerns over irregularities and advocated for the rights of students. “I have asked to check CCTV footage of the coaching centers. This is critical to ensure transparency and identify any malpractices,” he said.

He further emphasized the need to avoid criminalizing student protesters. “I have requested that no cases should be registered against students. They are raising genuine concerns about their future and deserve to be heard, not punished,” Yadav stated.

In a significant demand, Yadav urged the cancellation of the upcoming BPSC exam scheduled for January 4. “I have asked to cancel the exam and conduct an investigation first. The credibility of the examination process must be restored before proceeding further,” he added.

The protests erupted amid allegations of unfair practices in the examination system, with students accusing coaching centers and officials of malpractice. The situation has led to widespread unrest among aspirants, who are demanding transparency and accountability from the authorities.

The Chief Secretary is yet to issue an official statement regarding the MP’s demands. However, Yadav’s intervention has amplified calls for action and added pressure on the state government to address the students' grievances.
