Ranchi – Purnea MP Pappu Yadav met Jharkhand Chief Minister and JMM executive president Hemant Soren in Ranchi, extending New Year greetings and hailing his leadership. Speaking to the media after the meeting, Yadav highlighted Soren’s growing political stature and his role as a prominent voice for the Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Scheduled Castes (SC) communities.
“We came to extend them greetings on New Year,” Yadav began, acknowledging the personal and political significance of the visit. “He (Hemant Soren) has a good political stature. As ST-SC leadership, people have a lot of expectations from him,” he added.
Yadav emphasized Soren’s alignment with Ambedkarite ideology, positioning him alongside other leaders championing social justice. “As Ambedkarite ideology, there is Rahul Gandhi on one side, and on the other side Hemant Soren has become the voice of ST-SC,” he remarked, indicating the CM’s potential to resonate with marginalized communities nationwide.
Expressing aspirations for the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Yadav called for its expansion on the national stage under the leadership of Hemant and Kalpana Soren. “I hope that JMM expands and goes ahead as a national party, JMM strengthens under the leadership of both Hemant Soren and Kalpana Soren,” he said.
Yadav also underscored the importance of alliance politics, reiterating Congress’s commitment to maintaining unity among its allies in Bihar. “Congress too wants that we all go ahead with gathbandhan dharma,” he noted, reinforcing the need for collective efforts in opposition politics.
