Patna | Independent MP Pappu Yadav from Purnea on Monday launched a strong critique of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bihar, alleging that the party has prioritized political maneuvering over addressing the state’s developmental needs.

Speaking to reporters, Yadav avoided commenting directly on BJP leader Samrat Chaudhary, calling him “ignorant and foolish,” and instead urged party leaders to focus on substantive issues affecting Bihar. “Talk about migration, talk about investment, talk about GST,” he said, highlighting what he described as the BJP’s failure to prioritize citizens’ concerns.

Yadav contrasted this with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, whom he said maintains direct contact with the public and seeks to understand their perspectives. “Rahul Gandhi has direct contact with the common people, he tries to live from their perspective. How will he (Samrat Chaudhary) know, because he is only busy giving tickets to criminals,” Yadav asserted.

The MP also criticized the so-called “double engine government” in Bihar, accusing the BJP of playing the “biggest role in the destruction of Bihar” and failing to deliver on promises for economic growth, job creation, and effective governance.
