Srirangam, Trichy — The streets of Srirangam came alive with devotion and grandeur as the annual Panguni Car Festival, also known as Panguni Uthiram, was celebrated at the renowned Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple. The festival, which is one of the most important in Tamil Nadu’s religious calendar, commemorates the divine marriage of Lord Murugan (Subramanya Swamy) and Goddess Valli.

Thousands of devotees gathered to witness the grand procession, where intricately decorated chariots carrying the deities were pulled through the temple town in a display of faith and fervor.
