Attari, Punjab: Amid heightened security and diplomatic tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack, Pakistani national Samreen shared an emotional plea as she was asked to leave India while crossing the Attari border back to Pakistan. Samreen, who arrived in India last September on a 45-day visa and subsequently married an Indian citizen, expressed deep distress over the sudden expulsion.

"I came here in September with a 45-day visa. After that, I got married here. I have not got my long-term visa yet, and now suddenly I have been asked to leave the country," Samreen said.

Visibly upset, she emphasized that innocent families should not bear the brunt of actions committed by terrorists. "The terrorists should be questioned. What is our fault? Why are we being punished?" she questioned, highlighting the plight of cross-border families caught in the middle of political and security crackdowns.

Samreen further appealed to the authorities to consider the human aspect of such decisions. "The people who have relatives in the country should be allowed to stay," she urged.
