Delhi: Opposition vice-presidential candidate and retired Supreme Court judge B. Sudershan Reddy met Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at his residence on Wednesday.
The meeting is part of the Opposition’s outreach efforts ahead of the upcoming vice-presidential election. Leaders from several parties accompanied Reddy during the visit. Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee, along with Congress MPs Pramod Tiwari and Syed Naseer Hussain, were also present at the discussions.
While details of the conversation were not officially disclosed, the gathering is being viewed as a show of coordination among Opposition parties. With the vice-presidential election approaching, such interactions are seen as crucial in building consensus and consolidating support across different political blocs.
B. Sudershan Reddy, a retired Supreme Court judge, was recently announced as the Opposition’s candidate for the post of Vice President. His candidacy is positioned as part of a broader Opposition strategy to present a unified challenge in key constitutional positions.
