New Delhi, June 4, 2025 — Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Tuesday stated that the Opposition's INDIA bloc is seeking a special session of Parliament exclusively to discuss the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed several lives and heightened national security concerns.

Addressing the media in the capital, Raut clarified that the demand was not aimed at scrutinizing the government's actions post-attack, but solely to open a dialogue on the incident itself. “We only want to discuss the Pahalgam terror attack, not the action taken by the government,” he said.

Raut added that 16 Opposition parties are united in this demand and will soon send formal letters to the President and the Prime Minister. “In a democracy, the government should take the public into confidence and tell them what it is doing,” he asserted. “But in the largest democracy, everything is kept hidden from the public.”
