Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik Heads to Mumbai for Cervical Arthritis Treatment

BJD President and Leader of the Opposition in the Odisha Assembly, Naveen Patnaik, is set to undergo treatment for cervical arthritis at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on June 22. He announced the news via social media, expressing hope for a swift recovery with the blessings of Lord Jagannath and the support of the people of Odisha.

In a post on his X account, Patnaik stated: “As per medical advice, I will undergo a procedure for cervical arthritis on the 22nd at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai. My personal physician, Dr. Ramakant Panda, is overseeing the treatment. With the blessings of Lord Jagannath and the good wishes of my brothers and sisters in Odisha, I hope to return soon to continue serving you all.”

In his absence, the Biju Janata Dal's Political Affairs Committee will manage daily operations. Senior Vice President Debi Prasad Mishra will be in charge of coordinating the party’s programmes and activities across various departments.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conveyed his concern and wished Patnaik a speedy recovery, while supporters and well-wishers continue to send messages of encouragement and good health.
