Odisha CM Invites Indian Diaspora to Join State's Global Growth

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended a heartfelt invitation to the Indian diaspora to participate in the state's growth story during his address at the Valedictory Session of the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2025. He highlighted Odisha’s increasing global appeal and its readiness to embrace international partnerships.

“With this event, Odisha is now more open to the world than ever before. The world now sees limitless opportunity in Odisha. In short, Odisha is going global,” CM Majhi stated, emphasizing the state's transformation into an attractive destination for global investments and collaborations.

He appealed to the Indian diaspora to actively contribute to Odisha's progress and prosperity, aligning with the nation's broader development goals. “It’s a hearty appeal to the Indian diaspora to be a part and parcel of the overall progress and prosperity of our nation, as well as Odisha,” he said.

To facilitate diaspora engagement, CM Majhi announced the appointment of a nodal minister from the Department of Odia Language, Literature, and Culture. This initiative aims to provide a seamless interface for diaspora members interested in undertaking projects or investments in Odisha.
