In preparation for Navy Day celebrations in Odisha, Odisha’s Additional Director General (ADG) of Law & Order, Sanjay Kumar, provided details on the comprehensive security measures being implemented for the visit of the President of India and other dignitaries.

Kumar confirmed that the President, as the supreme commander of the Indian Armed Forces, will be attending Navy Day celebrations in Puri, the first time this event is being held in Odisha. “The President of India is coming to Bhubaneswar and after that, she will go to Puri to attend the Navy Day celebrations. As the supreme commander of the forces, she will take the salute and she will also witness the operational demo to be done by the Navy,” said Kumar.

The President’s visit, along with that of other high-profile dignitaries, has prompted the authorities to deploy substantial security resources to ensure safety. Kumar revealed that around 125 platoons of forces, including Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), have been stationed in the region for the event.

“The Navy Chief is also coming, so we have provided a security cover for the visit of the President of India and other dignitaries,” he added. The security measures are part of an extensive plan to safeguard the event and the dignitaries, which includes heightened vigilance and strategic deployments across key locations in Bhubaneswar and Puri.

With the significance of this event, Odisha is set to witness a grand display of naval operations, alongside strong security arrangements to ensure the safety and success of the celebrations.
