New Delhi: On the occasion of Republic Day 2025, five officers of the National Security Guard (NSG), the country’s elite counter-terrorism force, were conferred prestigious police medals in recognition of their exemplary service.
Inspector General (HQ) Deepak Kumar Kedia was awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service for his exceptional dedication and outstanding contributions to public service. Known for his commitment to strengthening national security, Kedia’s leadership and expertise have earned him this distinguished honour.
In addition, four other senior officers of the NSG were honoured with Police Medals for Meritorious Services. Group Commander Sunil Sharma, Second-in-Command Vishal Patidar, Squadron Commander Om Veer Singh, and Ranger-I Suresh Pilania were recognized for their significant contributions and consistent excellence in the line of duty.
