Noida, Uttar Pradesh: In compliance with the Commission for Air Quality Management’s (CAQM) GRAP-1 measures, the Noida Authority carried out water sprinkling on city roads to reduce air pollution and control dust levels.

The GRAP-1 restrictions were imposed across Delhi-NCR on 14th October after air quality readings in the region turned ‘poor’. These measures are part of a graded response action plan designed to mitigate the adverse effects of rising pollution, especially during the winter months.

Water sprinkling on roads is aimed at reducing suspended particulate matter and minimizing dust emissions, which are significant contributors to deteriorating air quality. Authorities have also urged construction sites, industries, and vehicles to adhere to the guidelines outlined under GRAP-1.
