New Delhi/Patna: BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo on Friday described November 20 — the day Nitish Kumar took oath as Bihar’s chief minister for the tenth time — as a historic milestone for the state. Speaking to media, Shahdeo said the occasion had “been etched in history” and symbolised the restoration of governance under the BJP–JD(U) alliance.

“November 20 will be remembered as a Red-Letter Day in Bihar’s history. It has been etched in history,” Shahdeo said, emphasising the rarity of a leader taking office for the tenth time. He credited Nitish Kumar for providing continuity in administration and praised the renewed partnership with the Bharatiya Janata Party.

According to Shahdeo, the new government marks a definitive break from what he termed the “Jungle Raj” that, in his view, had overshadowed Bihar for two decades. “Nitish Kumar ji is serving as Chief Minister for the tenth time. He, along with the BJP, has removed the stain of ‘Jungle Raj’ that had tarnished Bihar over the past 20 years,” he said.
