NIA Chargesheets Bihar Migrant Labourer for Supporting Lashkar-e-Taiba in J&K and Tamil Nadu

Chennai, Tamil Nadu: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday filed a chargesheet against a migrant labourer from Bihar, accusing him of supporting proscribed terrorist organisations, including Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), in planning and executing terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir and Tamil Nadu.

The accused, identified as Akhalatur alias Mohammed Akhlaque Mujahid, hails from Katihar district in Bihar. He has been charged under sections 196 and 197 of the Bombay National Security Act (BNS) and Sections 13 (1) (b) and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, according to the NIA.

The chargesheet was filed before the NIA Special Court at Poonamallee in Chennai, highlighting the agency’s efforts to track and curb the support networks of terrorist organisations operating across states.
