Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh: Chief Minister of Nepal's Madhesh Province, Satish Kumar Singh, is visiting Ayodhya with six of his Cabinet members to participate in the grand ‘Ram Lalla Tilakotsav’. The event marks a cultural and spiritual connection between India and Nepal, particularly between the regions of Ayodhya and Janakpur.
Speaking about the visit, Singh said, “We have come here for the ‘Tilakotsav’ for the first time. Around 500 people from Janakpur have come to Ayodhya. During our visit, we will also extend an invitation for the ‘Vivah Panchami’ celebrations to be held in Nepal.”
‘Vivah Panchami’ commemorates the divine wedding of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita, celebrated with great fervor in Janakpur, the legendary birthplace of Sita. The visit by the Madhesh CM and his delegation symbolizes the enduring cultural ties and shared heritage between the two neighboring nations.
The Ayodhya visit by such a significant delegation highlights the importance of religious tourism and cultural exchange. It also strengthens the historical bond between the sacred city of Ayodhya and Janakpur, which are central to the epic Ramayana.
The ‘Tilakotsav’ celebrations in Ayodhya, attended by dignitaries and devotees alike, have become a platform for reinforcing the spirit of unity and devotion, further bridging cultural and spiritual connections across borders.
