Navy Chief Adm Dinesh K Tripathi Shares Indo-Pacific Security Vision at US-Led Naval Meet

By A Staff Reporter

New Delhi | Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), represented India at the 12th edition of the Key Leader Engagement (KLE) hosted virtually by Admiral Stephen T Koehler, Commander of the US Navy Pacific Fleet, on 18 June 2025. The high-level engagement brought together naval leaders from 19 nations committed to strengthening maritime cooperation and regional security in the Indo-Pacific.

During the conference, Adm Tripathi articulated his strategic vision titled "Achieving Maritime Security in the Indo-Pacific Through Innovation and Technology." Emphasizing India's role as a net security provider in the region, the CNS underscored the importance of embracing emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and integrated maritime domain awareness systems to counter evolving threats in one of the world’s most critical sea lanes.

He also called for deeper collaboration in joint maritime operations, information-sharing networks, and sustainable naval development among Indo-Pacific nations. “Technological innovation must be the cornerstone of our collective maritime strategy,” Adm Tripathi stated, highlighting India’s growing investment in indigenous naval platforms and smart surveillance.
