New Delhi | Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has joined the nation in mourning the passing of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, offering a heartfelt tribute to the iconic leader. Sidhu lauded Singh’s contributions to India and described his legacy as one that will be remembered by generations.
“He was a man of an era. Every moment he spent in his life was filled with glory. Today, it's not just the nation, but the entire world mourns his loss,” Sidhu said, underlining the global impact of Dr Singh's work.

Calling Singh the “pioneer of economic transformation,” Sidhu reflected on the late leader’s role in reshaping India’s economy. “If I were to define him in one line, he was the pioneer of economic transformation for this country,” he said, emphasizing the significance of Singh's reforms in creating a modern, globally connected India.
Dr Manmohan Singh, who served as India’s Prime Minister for two terms from 2004 to 2014, was a globally respected economist and statesman. His contributions, including groundbreaking economic reforms in the 1990s and his leadership during challenging times, continue to be celebrated worldwide.
