Bhubaneswar: Odisha former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was unanimously re-elected as the president of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) for the ninth consecutive term on Friday. The announcement was met with celebratory scenes at the party headquarters, where district leaders, workers, and senior members gathered to express their support and admiration.
As soon as Patnaik’s name was formally declared, BJD leaders showered him with floral tributes and symbolic offerings, including paintings and sacred items such as Lord Jagannath’s 'Anga Bastra' (sacred attire) and 'Maha Prasad' (holy food).
