BJP leader Narayanan Thirupathy has criticized opposition parties for their silence and support of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the wake of the Kolkata doctor rape-murder case.
"Opposition parties are supporting Mamata Banerjee and keeping mum on this issue, but it's not fair," Thirupathy stated. He condemned the handling of the situation by Banerjee and accused her of backing the criminals involved. "The atrocities done by Mamata Banerjee after the killing of the doctor... The way she handled things and supported the criminals and culprits is shameful for India," he added.
