New Delhi: BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Friday lashed out at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge over his remarks demanding a ban on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), calling it a sign of the Congress’s deepening political frustration.
Responding to Kharge’s statement that the Modi government should revoke its decision lifting the decades-old ban on government employees’ participation in RSS activities, Naqvi accused the Congress of harbouring an “unhealthy obsession” with the organisation.
“RSS phobia has turned a baseless Congress into a brainless Congress,” Naqvi said. “This chronic obsession with the RSS is worsening, bringing the party closer to political extinction.”
He further asserted that the Congress’s attempts to discredit or restrict the RSS would not succeed. “Their conspiracy to impose a ban on the RSS will never succeed,” he added.
