Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole has condemned the recent vandalism of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue, attributing the incident to widespread corruption within both the central and state governments.
“The vandalism of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is a result of their corruption. Whether it’s the central or state government, they know nothing except corruption,” Patole remarked. He accused the current leadership of consistently disrespecting the legacy of Shivaji Maharaj, whom he referred to as the "lord of Maharashtra."
Patole described the incident as a misfortune for the state and its people, expressing strong sentiments that the government should resign. “No one will forgive this government; they should now leave the chair and run away,” he stated.
