New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership while speaking at a memorial event held in honour of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao. Naidu described 2014 as a “turning point” in India’s political and economic trajectory and credited Modi with ushering in a new era of decisive governance and national revival.
“A turning point came in 2014. The electorate gave a strong and clear mandate to a bold and visionary leader, PM Modi,” Naidu stated. “He brought bold initiatives like Digital India, Make in India, Startup India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat. Under his leadership, India entered a new phase — one marked by confidence, clarity of purpose and bold decision making.”
Highlighting India's economic progress, Naidu noted that India has risen from being the 11th largest economy in 2014 to the 4th largest in 2025. He projected that the country is on course to become the third-largest economy by 2028.
