Mumbai: In connection with the ongoing investigation into the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan, Mumbai Police have questioned a woman from West Bengal, identified as Khukumoi Sheikh, who allegedly provided a SIM card to one of the accused involved in the assault. A team from Mumbai Police traveled to West Bengal to record her statement as part of the investigation.

According to police officials, while the woman's role in the attack remains unclear, her involvement in supplying the SIM card to the accused has raised questions. "In the investigation till now, we have no doubt about the woman's direct involvement in the attack on Saif Ali Khan. However, if it is found that she helped the accused by providing the SIM card in a wrongful manner, the investigation could move forward along this line," a Mumbai Police spokesperson stated.

The woman, Khukumoi Sheikh, was initially called in for questioning, and at this stage, she has neither been detained nor arrested by the Mumbai Police. Authorities are focusing on determining whether her actions were linked to the accused’s efforts to evade detection or any other criminal activity.
