Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that efforts are underway to safely evacuate 23 passengers from various districts of the state who are currently stranded in Nepal following a landslide. The passengers are reportedly stuck in different parts of the affected area.
In a tweet, CM Yadav assured the public that the Madhya Pradesh government, in collaboration with the Government of India, has reached out to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu to ensure that all necessary arrangements are made for their safe evacuation. The CM expressed confidence that the passengers would soon be safely returned to their respective hometowns.
"I assure you that you need not worry," CM Yadav stated in his message, adding that the state government is fully committed to ensuring that those affected by the natural disaster are well taken care of.
The landslide in Nepal has triggered concerns about the safety of travelers and locals in the region, prompting swift action by authorities on both sides of the border.
